I don't know if I'll ever be able to take one of these spectacular New Zealand walks, but I will certainly do so in my mind. I was privileged once to walk for a week in the Cotswolds region of rural England. I am lucky to have some gorgeous terrain to cover daily here in coastal Carolina, but one of the many pluses of walking is that you can always use your imagination to transport you to other splendid venues. (And sometimes you can board planes to walk right into your fondest fantasies.)
