Blogging: One of Our Natural Rights

Blogging I need to catch up with: Thoughts on the amazing run of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers to the College World Series championship; the challenges for a senior of keeping up dawgwalking throughout a hot, humid summer; the quirks of my loveable Superdawg II; colorful birds I have watched; and the 240th anniversary of our nation's birth (along with reflections on the dedication of the author of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson, to regular walking, lots of it)....

I herewith vow to use part of this red, white, and blue holiday to exercise my unalienable right to blog (part of our natural right to Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness, in Jefferson's immortal words).  The First Amendment also protects our right to free speech and free press (and freedom of religion as well); so certainly the lively blogosphere is one place we can exercise this liberty.

Happy Independence Day everyone -- the 240th birthday of our free and independent nation!
