In blogspeak, my post Saturday on the passing of my kindred spirit, sweet Sadie the Superdawg, already has the fifth most "pageviews" of the 278 pieces I have written here in the 2 1/2 years of steadfastdawgwalker.com. Given that blogposts (such as the ones I did on the peril of rip currents and Presidents who were dedicated walkers) continue to attract new readers almost daily, my Sadie piece probably will be No. 1 someday.
That cheers me as a writer (for we are all hams who love to know people are reading what we write) but even more as Sadie's forever walking companion along mountain trails and sparkling beaches. I love it that she will be remembered as the gentle soul she was -- and is.
I will never forget her. She will be with me always.
Thank you, dear friends of Sadiedawg
